Harvey Ruvin, Miami-Dade County Clerk announced that the Florida Courts E-filing Portal will offer the ability to eFile 20 Day Summons in Family/Domestic Relations Cases as of Monday, 3/7/2016. On 3/14/2016 the service was extended to Civil cases excluding Five-Day (eviction) and Pretrial Summons.
Once the Summons is received and accepted via the portal, it will automatically be docketed and reflected on the Docket as "eFiling Summons Received" (ESRD) but it will not be executed.
Upon issuance, the Summons will be reflected on the Docket as Summons Issued (SMIS) and will be available on the Miami-Dade County Clerk of Courts Online Case Search for retrieval. After retrieval you may then contact Miami PSPI, LLC to serve your process.
For those who wish to continue to come in person to have their Summons issued, this service will still be available at the Civil, Family and District Court locations.
