FAQ:

  • What qualifies as a “valid attempt” in Florida?

    • A valid attempt is an effort made by a licensed process server at a reasonable time and place where the defendant is likely to be found. This includes confirming the address, documenting conditions at the location, making contact with occupants when possible, and following all statutory requirements under Florida law. Each attempt is logged with the date, time, and observations to ensure the service record is complete and court-ready.

  • What happens if the defendant cannot be located after three attempts?

    • If three documented attempts are unsuccessful, we first evaluate why the service failed—wrong address, evasive behavior, vacant property, or irregular hours. From there, we can take additional steps such as conducting a second-address search, performing a skip trace, verifying employment or alternative locations, or coordinating further attempts. You will receive a status update and options for next steps.

  • Can you serve out-of-state or nationwide?

    • Yes. We routinely coordinate service throughout Florida and across the United States. For out-of-state cases, we work with trusted partners who understand the rules of their jurisdiction, and we ensure that all affidavits or returns are completed to the standards required by your court.

  • How will I receive proof of service?

    • You will receive a completed affidavit or return of service electronically through our case management system. Every affidavit is properly signed, notarized when required, and formatted for filing with the court. You’ll also receive real-time email updates throughout the process, so you always know the status of your case without having to ask.
