Miami-Dade County Courthouse

The new courthouse on the right was built for speed and efficiency. It replaced the old courthouse on the left, which still stands with quiet confidence, its stone walls carrying more than a century of testimony, conflict, and resolution.
I’ve walked every corner of that building. It’s beautiful inside and out. From the elevator doors to the stairway handrails to the lobby ceiling, every detail feels intentional and artistic.
I doubt anyone will ever say the same about the new courthouse. I understand it was an economic decision, but it is still a huge shame that it was replaced.
